Feather Fall

Written and Directed by Ossie Michelin

Produced by Liz Cowie

Inuk journalist and filmmaker Ossie Michelin returns a decade later to the Mi’kmaq community of Elsipogtog in New Brunswick where his camera lens captured an iconic photo of land protector and mother to a newborn son, Amanda Polchies, defiantly holding an eagle feather in prayer before a line of riot police at an historic anti-fracking protest. Ossie’s image immediately went viral, becoming a worldwide symbol of resistance and hope.
