WaaPaKe (which means tomorrow in English) is feature documentary about the children of residential school survivors who are confronting intergenerational trauma head-on. For many Indigenous people, living in the shadow of their parents’ residential school trauma has been detrimental to their overall wellbeing. This film seeks to give the children of survivors a chance to respond to this history, and to find a hopeful path forward.
