Alambic 2025

Come explore a world of possibilities in a collaborative and stimulating atmosphere. Alambic is an intensive immersion, a creative hub where imagination, experimentation, originality and craft are distilled, drop by drop, to reveal the essence of new talent across the country.

About the Program

Offered by the French Animation Unit of the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), Alambic is a paid six-month mentorship program. It gives emerging animation filmmakers the opportunity to create a film that’s up to three minutes long.

The 3 projects selected from the 75 submissions were chosen by a committee composed of: Jelena Popović (producer at the NFB’s French Animation Unit), Raquel Sancinetti (independent producer and director, and associate producer of Alambic), Karl Lemieux (director and filmmaker mentor for the Alambic program), Alyssia Duval-Nguon (community manager at the NFB’s Creative Services, associate programmer for the Fantasia and Asian Pop-Up Cinema festivals), Eric Pouliot (technical director at the NFB’s French Animation Unit), and Mylène Augustin (independent producer and director).
