Esi Edugyan was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta; her parents were immigrants from Ghana. Edugyan is only the third writer ever to win the prestigious Canadian literary Giller Prize twice. This is a story about this soft-spoken artist and the Canada she sees through her African Canadian lens as she guides us through a tour of her hometown and explores the limitations and possibilities of the Black Diaspora in Alberta.
