karla monterrosa (she/her) is a queer animation filmmaker, illustrator and comedian who was born and raised in San Salvador, El Salvador. In 2009, she relocated to Vancouver. She’s obsessed with the awkwardness of the human body (especially her own). karla works from personal yet universal experiences with embarrassment and everyday misfortunes. She hopes her work lands somewhere between “this gave me a panic attack” and “omg lol.”
