Inspired by the birth of his son Jude, filmmaker Justin Simms, 47, examines how masculinity is handed down from father to son. Set against the backdrop of young Jude’s first five years of life – from cooing infant to precocious hurricane of a boy – the film looks at modern masculinity through the lens of fatherhood as Justin asks an increasingly urgent question: “how do we teach our sons to be better men?”
