We Were Nothing to Them

Directed by Romani Makkik
Co-written by Romani Makkik and Bernadette Dean
Produced by Alicia Smith, Niki Little

The film recounts the nearly forgotten history of how the Hudson Bay Company (HBC) forcibly moved Inuit around the arctic with the permission of the Government of Canada. This colonial effort has had an ongoing, lasting effect on the lives of many people in the north- a story that has never been seriously examined.
